There appears to be more than the MV envolved, the AV seems to have a questionable mobile veg like attachment in the LVOT. As well there is something that comes in and out of view behind or from within the echodensity attached to the PMVL.
This parasternal long axis TTE clip shows a bizarre calcification on the atrial/posterior aspect of the mitral valve. Does the central clearing indicate that this is an old abscess or is it just a run-of-the-mill calcification?
I dont see much shadowing. A chunk of calcium that big should produce
more shadowinf than that. definetely not calcium
