about 50y old patient with extended weak and subfebrile temperature. He got a prosthetic aortic valve 2y ago. Now he has a new diastolic murmur. the transthoracic echocardiography shows an aortic insufficiency (pressure half time < 300 msec). in the transesophageal echocardiography we find a severe endocarditis of the aortic valve with a paravalvulare abscess.
