Description
This is a parasternal long axis of the LA, LV, and Ao valve. Note the very poor excursion of the aortic valve leaflets and the turbulence of the color flow doppler as blood is ejected from the LV. Valve area in this patient was estimated to be just over 0.7 cm2. The apex is not visualized, but LV function appears normal.
