This parasternal long axis TTE clip shows a patient with a bulge in the mid-wall of his left atrium. He recently underwent a Shumway procedure orthotopic heart transplant in which part of the
recipient\s atrium is retained.
This parasternal short axis TTE clip of the aortic valve demonstrates that shi valve is severely calcified and appears very stenotic. Doppler estimated pressure gradient across this valve was between
60 and 80 mm Hg at peak.
This transthoracic TTE clip shows a patient with a bioprosthetic aortic valve. The doppler study was limited but it did not appear to have any significnat stenosis or regurgitation.
This short axis view of the aortic valve demonstrates severe stenosis and it appears to be bicuspid. Valve area measured by the continuity equation was estimated at 0.69 cm2.
Parasternal short axis view of a patient with mdoerate to severe aortic stenosis with valve area calculated to be 0.76 cm2. This is a side by side of loops with and without color flow doppler. Note
the poor excursion of the valve leaflets and the turbulent flow on CFD (loop on right)
